Handsome, clever, survivor, mischief maker, trickster...these were a few of the reasons that Rudolph was chosen as the People's Choice POTW. For the past 5 years in December, the players of PI have participated in a little game called Runaway Rudolph. Each year Rudolph goes on a wild run through the stables of PI, visiting those who manage to catch him before quickly slipping away to his next stop. The role of Rudolph is played by a different pony each year, but Rudolph of 2009 was certainly the most memorable of them all. Rudolph began the festivities as an adorable double visible starter EarthPony. After his feverish run across the islands of PI, Rudolph was magically morphed into PI's first ReindeerPony!

#312 - Death by Twilight

Pure might be nice, but Mutts need love to! This week for our theme we focused on finding an adorable dragon who had at least 5 other breeds in his or her lines. As a bonus, we also tried to find one that captured the other fire breeds in that lineage as well! It was a long and tiring search, but once we found Death by Twilight, we looked no more! This gorgeous boy won our hearts with his mixie pedigree and fabulous tattoo.

#311 - Corrosive Acid

For breeds week, we decided to show a little love to a WingedUnicorn since there hasn't been one in the POTW spotlight in over a year!
With St. Patrick's Day falling within this spotlight week, we felt that Corrosive Acid fit the bill just right. We loved all his shades of green and he looks fantastic in those toxic, yet mysteriously hypnotic glow shoes. Doesn't it make you want to pinch him anyways? We felt that way!

This week we set out to find an older pony who would be celebrating their birthday during the week where we were looking for nominations. Extra credit was given for ponies that were wearing lots of items. Our POTW this week just celebrated his fourth birthday on 2/27/07. As a memorial pony, he has a special place in his stables. He has maxed out once, and is training to do it again. How could we resist his gorgeous, vibrant colors? For all of these reasons, it is easy to recognize that Aaron is an extremely special boy!
