Early this spring, We were invited to Darishiana for the exclusive first ever Darleys sale. This sale marked the release of this rare breed, outside of the Darish people, into the hands of a few selected horse-loving souls. We were initially considered as a potential owner for a limited edition set of the Darleys due to our reputation with breeding stunning limited lined ponies on our home estate. However later we became true friends of the Darish people, after saving the life of a daughter of one of the most prestigious lords, in a terrifying sand storm. Despite the conditions, Antares and I were able to search out and rescue the girl after she had been separated from her family in the swirling sands. Our actions rewarded us with the soul ownership of this rare line and we were allowed to purchase the entire set being offered for sale. We shipped them all home to one of our elaborate estates, a privately owned Hawaiian island. We hope that by limiting the entire set to a soul island we will be able to preserve the integrity of this lineage. We have now developed a breeding program for them and are eager to share several of this amazing breed with our PonyIsland friends.
The Darleys are in fact an amazing breed due to a number of characteristics that they have carried down through their lineages over the passage of time. They initially were located on the wild regions of the planet Darishiana on the steppes and the desert regions. This habitat structured them for the development of speed, endurance, and in the face of this dangerous climate, the unyieldingly loyalty that defines them to their families, four footed and two legged alike.
We hope to preserve these characteristics in our PonyIsland lines but also wish to establish the Darleys as a new focal point in the racing world. Racing contests will be held fairly often for the Darleys, and you are invited to keep an eye out for those, further details will also be laid out concerning them at a later date. Only the best racers will be allowed to breed, those with the highest racing indexes. Racing indexes may be increased by entering Darleys into contest and points will be awarded to the top three in each contest, win (3 points), place (2 points) and show (1 point), ribbons will also be awarded and handed out in contest threads.
Darley owners will be allowed to auction their own individual stallions' breeding fees, but only after the stallions in question have reached the required index of 20. Stallions are also extremely limited, and only a few will be released, roughly a 1 in 7 ratio to the mares, though sometimes a special unveiling of a new stallion may be made as decided by our estate, the Rising Dreams Adoptables. There are no breeding items required for breeding; to breed all you must have is a mare and a stallion containing the required index of 20. After the first breeding at the index of 20, ponies may not breed again until an additional 20 points has been gained, or in this case an index of 40. This method will continue in the same way, essentially for every 20pts gained, you are allowed to breed. You are not required to breed everytime you gain enough points; i.e. you can save up breeding slots to use later, say for example you have a stallion with a racing index of 60, and he has never been bred, you may then auction off breeding slots at any time, or use them on your own mares, or a friends. Every time a level of 20 is reached, you will receive a medal, and then when you are ready to breed, you will turn in your medals in order to receive a baby.
