These rules apply to ALL auctions run on PI, not just the ones in this forum. In addition, all general PI rules still apply.
These rules are updated 12/1/2008 from the previous version that exist in this forum.
1. Only make bids if you can make the payment.
If you don't have the PG, BP or $$ for the item at the time of bidding, please do not bid. If you have the payment on hand and bid, please do not spend it on something else. If you are the high bidder in an auction and cannot honor the bid within the alloted 72 hours or as otherwise specified by the seller, do not bid. Bidding on an item means YOU guarantee you will pay your bid price per the seller's terms if the auction ends with you as the high bidder.
2. Do not edit your bid.
Once you've made your bid, do not edit your bid. If you need to make a higher bid, please do so in a new reply to the auction thread.
An exception will be made for what are obviously ERROR bids. For example, bidding 1000k instead of 100k. Please note that admin can see edits and if it is not an obvious error as given by the example, it will not be allowed and a ban will be given.
3. Bid retractions must be approved by the seller.
We understand that once in a while an emergency occurs and payment you had available must be spent on something else. You must contact the seller if you wish to retract your bid and only seller approved retractions will be allowed. However, keep in mind that excessive abuse of approved retractions will subject you to a forum ban.
4. Honor your bid.
Once the auction ends and you are the high bidder, you must make payment within 72 hours (3 days) from the end of the auction or as otherwise specified within the seller's terms.
Making bids you cannot pay, editing your bid, retracting your bid without seller approval, or refusal to honor your bid in the time allowed will result in a minimum 2 week forum ban.
4. Reporting fraudulent bidders.
Please report all fraudulent bidders to a Moderator. As with fraudulent auctions, it is up to you players to report abuse of the bidding rules. The auction forum moves very quickly and we do not have time or resources to track ongoing auctions. When reporting, please include all pertinent links and information related to the case.
5. Shill bidding = CHEATING
Shill bidding, otherwise known as driving up a bid price with a fake bid, either using your own sub or a friend's account is not allowed and will result in forum bans for all accounts involved.
