I have to admit, it's a little odd collection of recolored items, though I do like and appreciate them anyway. :3

Jardana looks like an overgrown treasure lost in the jungle, if only she had a ribbon made of vines or something now lol.

I know the art team works very hard to provide us with so many new things, what feels like almost monthly. But I can't help but wonder if the themes of the extravaganzas are created around what items can be rehashed. Not that I don't appreciate them all the same of course, but I wonder what creative themes people could come up with if items weren't an issue? I for one would rather have a completely new and fun theme as to ones that are similar to previous ones. In my opinion I would leave out all the new items and just have a unique theme, and maybe for those who participated in the games, there can be just one exclusive item that's handed out. That sounds more rewarding to me than just having the art team recolor older items that I can pick up in the store.

Oh well, guess that means I need possibly sign up for the next extravaganza rotation so I can be the one participating in the show. >:)

Ack, I forgot to add the most important part. I meant to say I'm looking forward to the games starting! I'm going to play as many as I can.

Perhaps you should ask the coloring team because it's no small task to make items for the site to work on all the ponies much less recoloring, touch ups and making sure layering and everything else works as it should.

I for one am always dissapointed to see there is always at least one person with negative things to say after people have worked so hard to bring new treats to the site. They are treats after all. Not like it's required we get anything. It's impolite and unnecessary in my opinion.

I for one am very thankful for all the new items! I love the plushie!!! Blue stuffed critters. My daughter will insist all her ponies have one. Thanks so much to all on the art crew for all your hard work. It's not a small task!

As someone on both the art team and the festival crew (and so pleased--though busy!--to be there!) I can say that the PaintBrush does not decide festival themes, or have any input in them (though sometimes we do make new items or work with LNS to think of good ones once we're given the theme). If you look back at the previous festivals, some have tons of new items (like the Renaissance, four new wearable items!) and some have fewer.

Plus, some of the items are very popular and the current on the forums is that people want to see them back. We (including the Extravaganza crew, who also brainstorms item ideas) do like to focus on what people want--and in this case, museum was a great opportunity to reuse items, since...well, you can find a lot of awesome stuff in a museum!
