She's worked incredibly hard the last year to bring us these new updated islands and enclosures. I'm very happy to say that she's far from done yet and has a lot more up her sleeve still!
New Islands
We now have 6 freshly drawn and absolutely gorgeous islands we are happy to unveil today. We realize that it's a bit sad to see some of the original 12 go but more islands will be added in the future and maybe we will see some of the old that wasn't updated today returned down the road.
Everyone who's island has been removed has now been moved to our beautiful new First Island, which you can see on your island pages. Please be patient while it loads the first time if you're on a slow connection, these new graphics are a bit more advanced to draw before being cached then the old ones.
Examples:
Switching islands still works as it had before (you do it from the real estate section) and you can move around for no cost between the islands you have available to you thanks to your BP level.
New Enclosures
Our new enclosures are the coolest things! They're fully customizable, they're easily updated and upgraded and you can color and decorate them yourself to give you a 100% custom enclosure! Do you want a pink stone stable, with a mint green tower roofs, wooden doors and one of each stable type upgrade to keep all your ponies happy while still adding two gray towers for maximum space? You can now do that!
For our initial release today, we present you with our new earth enclosures! New enclosures for all types of ponies will be released down the road. The basic stables just look like little boxes (all have been given a randomized color, you can easily change this in the Real Estate section under "customize"). But you can buy wallpapers, roofs, windows, decorations and items in the store.
Some examples:
Our maximum possible space has also been increased: A 65 space stable with 5 Gray Towers will now give you a maximum stable space of 80 ponies!
Instead of buying brand new enclosures when you want to increase your stable space, you can now "Buy an additional structure". The upgrade system looks like this:
10 slots - 15,000PG (2 upgrade slots)
25 slots - 20,000PG (1 additional upgrade slot)
45 slots - 25,000PG (1 additional upgrade slot)
65 slots - 30,000PG (1 additional upgrade slot)
Conversion from your old enclosures
First and foremost, please don't panic if you don't like the color of your new enclosure! It can easily be changed and decorated how you like it ^^
You will all have had your old enclosures replaced with a basic stable of the same size or bigger than the one you had. For example, if you had a Little Tower (with 12 spaces and 2 upgrade slots), you'll now have a 25 space stable with 3 upgrade slots and any upgrades you had still equipped. If you had a Giant Lilac Fortress (60 spaces and 2 upgrade slots) you'll now have 65 slots and 5 upgrade slots and any upgrades you had still equipped.
So no one will get anything less then they had, most will get an upgrade.
New arenas will be released too, they're just not finished yet.
Decorating your enclosure
You can now decorate your stable with various items from the store, the ones in the "Enclosure Decoration" section are the ones that adds stuff directly to your enclosures, such as wallpapers and windows. The ones in the "Enclosure Item" section adds various fun little decorations for around the buildings such as volleyball nets and flags.
Once you've bought an item you can equip it to your enclosure in the "Real Estate" section. You can add as many decorations and items as you like, however you can only have one of each "Type". So you can't equip two different sets of "Type: Windows" for example. But you can have a roof, a wallpaper, and windows.
A little contest!
We also wanted to celebrate this happy event with a little "design" contest.
When you've decorated your new stable in your favorite colors and dressed it up with your new favorite items from the store, post the image here for us to see (please use the IMG tags) and be inspired by. 10 (or more depending on the number of entries) happy, random winners will get a prize!
You're only allowed to enter once and with your entry post write "Contest Entry" before your enclosure image to ensure it's entered and post it before 10:00 PI time on the 16th of March.
