So I have a couple of girls who are really close in levels and about half-way to being maxed that I want to start concentrating on. I know (from reading some of the threads around here) that the best way to do that is to enter them into split contests. Since I have 10 different accounts that I semi-regularly contest, I like to create my own and just enter everyone in there instead of filling up someone else's contests.

My dilemma comes in, though, in that every time I've tried to do split level contests, I end up having a handful of ponies on each account that just don't manage to make it in to anything (I think it has something to do with their UDLs? Maybe?). Since I don't want to slow the training on any of my other kids while I'm working on Farfalla and Rhapsody, I need a little help figure out how to make sure they all make it into contests, other than doing it manually. (Been there, done that, don't want to deal with it.)

Any help is greatly appreciated! :happy

Well you want to make sure they are always placing 1st and 2nd, so they are getting max xp, witch is like 132000 each contest.

I would actually consider making a contest for each, looks like a tug for Farfalla, and maybe Lava walking or hide and seek for Rhapsody.

You want to have high ish level ponies contesting with them (to boost xp) but not high enough in Strength (Farfalla) or agility (Rhapsody) to beat them. I would organize your stable to make entering easy. Put Farfalla first then 109 of her training buddies. You can check how much xp she is gaining each contest and boost the levels (slowly) of the ponies she is training with.

Oh and when you run splits there will always be ponies left out because of UDL's there is no way around it. Its why i stopped running them and just organized my stables by level so everyone is entered near someone there same level.

The only way I've found around the udl problem is to alternate splits.
It doesn't work perfectly, and I'm going to need to edit my own (I figure trial and error), but if I have a pony who isn't being contested in the 0-100 splits one tick, it's ok because they'll be in the 50-150 split the next tick.
I find they also tend to level fairly fast this way, because they're suddenly at the top end of a new split, but then they do slow down a bit, because they're then at the bottom end of it.
I have 3 stables, and I've just worked out that about 50 of them are currently uncontested this tick, but then I have about 350 who are getting contested.
