I am on the computer and I am working on something. Then from behind me there is a sudden flash of light, almost like a flashlight and then it vanished. I turned my head fast, but nothing was there. I have no idea what I just saw.. Weird since I am the only one up right now.

No. The light is on in my kitchen and I'm facing that. The only thing behind me is my living room, and our sliding door that leads too a basketball court, no street. I checked and nobody is out there with flashlights.

It was really freaky, because it was more like right beside then behind. It was weird. I swear lol. Almost like a flash from a camera and we don't even have a camera, except my dad's cell phone.

That could be. I know when I'm tired and it's dark I see 'flashes' in the corner of my eyes at random times. Happens when I'm driving mostly.

o__o I watch way too much dramatic tv, when you said it was like a camera flash, I was like D: stalker! It's probably a trick of the eyes or something though. Similar things have happened to me when staring at the computer for a while, or maybe uhm a light flickered or there's a motion sensor light outside and it got triggered by a wild animal? Who knows. ^.^;

Probably you were looking at screen too long without blinking and painted the image on your retina. When you moved your eyes too quickly it looked like a blinding flash of light instead of the normal shadow you see. Its happened to me usually when I forget to have a light on behind me to balance the glare from the screen.
