ETA: Well, I forgot to say how the look actually looked to me. It was like a cross between 'help' and 'puppy got run over' Almost like surprised in a happy way, but it was...different. Never seen that look ever on anyone else I know.

![]() | Okay so there's this boy in my homeroom class(7th grade), and I don't know why I can't just be his friend. I mean, he'd probably say that I'm his friend, but then...something happens. Like for instance, the teacher passes back a test and he looks over my way as the teacher's talking to him and it's like -sparks- as we make eye contact. I don't really know how else to describe it. At first, I thought that he was asking for help, like you know, an SOS thing. It did look sort of like a 'help' look. Then I realized, he does it for no reason...in ALL of my classes. I know this boy since kindergarden, and I always tried to avoid him. Neither of us feel comfortable thinking about what happened then. Short story...there's a crazy kid who got mad at us for being smart, he started throwing tables and chair around....we hid under A chair. Well, all I can say in our defence is, we were only in KINDERGARDEN. I mean, what do you expect? It WAS the only chair available. Now, back into the present. I knew he never really liked in in elementary. He'd tease me a lot with this girl. I'd just sit and suck it up, ignoring them. Then in fifth grade, I decided that I wanted to be JUST FRIENDS with him, try a clean slate. So we came to be friends now. So I'm just wondering, what's with the looks he gives me? Like, am I just thinking too much, or what's that look mean, anyway? By the way, I, in no way, want a boyfriend at the age of 13, almost 14. Advice/comments are appreciated. -Phoebe ETA: Well, I forgot to say how the look actually looked to me. ![]() | Yeah, I have some advice. You're in 7th grade. Don't worry about boys. Worry about getting good grades. I have no need to conform to the stereotypes that others have defined for me. http://ponyisland.org/index.php?src=forum&sub=replies&forum=26&topic=2957854--> My NEW ML Link! |

![]() | Well, I KNOW that. I'm just asking what kind of a look is he giving me and how to get him to stop it if it's that kind of look. I just want to be his friend. -Phoebe |

![]() | So you want a 'look' broken down and analyzed? You're reading way, way too much into it, and thinking about something so simple way too hard. Quote :
Easy. Don't look and ignore him. Or say to him point blank 'What does that look mean'? I have no need to conform to the stereotypes that others have defined for me. http://ponyisland.org/index.php?src=forum&sub=replies&forum=26&topic=2957854--> My NEW ML Link! |

![]() | He might like you, I don't know. Maybe he just wants to be friends, maybe he wants to be more. However, what matters is what you want! And if you want to just stay friends, then it's totally up to you to remain friends. If he ever acts out of your comfort zone, just tell him it makes you uncomfortable. And, if it turns out he does like you and you aren't interested, simply say so. Good luck |

![]() | He might like you, I wouldn't worry about it right now. If he likes you he will give you more signs later on than just looking at you all the time. |
