Setting:

This RP takes place in the way distant future, after an unknown apocalyptic event that basically wiped out most of the life on Earth. Over thousands of years, the Earth [now called Faeron] is now flourishing with life, and though its dominant life form was once the humans, is now an evolved species of wild dog. These wild dogs are considerably larger, stronger and much faster than today's dogs, and hold power over the less-evolved humans. The humans have managed to make 'allies' with some of the smaller and weaker wild dogs, and have enslaved large populations of them. They seek to create canine companions, or pets, like humans did in the past.

The Dogs:

The dogs range anywhere between 40 and 70 inches tall [about three and a half to six feet tall] and five to eight feet long, and they have a lifespan of around 20 years. They are wolfish in appearance because of the merging of wolf and dog species, though also have an uncanny resemblance to german shepherd-type dogs. Some are short-smooth-haired, some wire-haired, short-rough-haired, long-haired, silky-haired, anything that can be found on today's dogs. Because of evolution, the dogs have also adapted to blend into their environment or become flashy-colored to attract a mate, as suddenly the dogs have become color-seeing. No dog is a solid color, and usually the dogs are a natural, neutral shade with markings of a flashy color [ie; green, pink, blue, you name it] and a flashy eye color.

Description: Eska is the largest dog in the pack, being a little over six feet tall and nearly nine feet long. He is wolfish in appearance, though has the build of the dog previously known as the German Shepherd. His thick fur is a snowy white color, with flecks of metallic cyan and light green throughout. His tail is tipped with silver, his ears silver and his muzzle black. His left eye is a shocking cyan, his right an eerie blood red, a scar running through it. Beneath his strange right eye is a set of tribal-looking markings, obviously enough that he wasn't born with them. From an encounter with the developing tribes of humans, he still wears a leather sledding harness that was carved from the tanned hide of an elk-like creature, and he prides it as a souvenir from his first and only encounter with humans.
Persona: Eska is wise and brave, and always takes time to assess a situation before jumping into it. Because of his brave nature and his curious personality, he often finds himself in sticky situations with humans where he has to use his sheer strength and size to get away, one time being when he was outnumbered severely and captured. He got away after being strapped into a harness, which he still wears today. He is a source of wisdom for all, though he is young, and would never put anyone in harm's way.

Description: Fei isn't as large as a warrior should be, though she is vicious with her speed and will power. She stands a mere four feet tall, only a few inches larger than the tallest of today's dogs. Her appearance is more like a Border Collie, though you would never overlook the obvious dire wolf in her. Fei is an albino, with the whitest of coats and lightest of pink skin, and piercing red eyes. On the left side of her face is a marking that resembles a crescent moon, which seems to glow red when she's angry.
Persona: Fei is bold-headed and rash, though her stubborn, arrogant nature has gotten her by all this time. She has a hard time making friends, though is a valuable warrior with her powerful will to fight.

Name: Zero

Description: Zero is rather large, standing a good 5'4 at the shoulders. He is a thickly muscled dog from lots of training and experience in the field, with the overall appearance of today's Husky. He is jet black with a purple sheen to his short rought-coat, with blood-red tribal markings under his eyes and on his shoulders. His eyes are a glowing blood red, though instead of a menacing look like a canine his size would have, are rather curious and wise.
Persona: Zero is mysterious and stand-offish, he tends to stray from the rest of the pack and wander alone. He is a kind soul when confronted, though most avoid him because of his mysterious aura.

Extra: He was separated from his home pack when he was just a pup, and Eska's pack took him when they found him. Humans had attempted a raid on his home pack and took a newborn litter of pups, and he was one of the only ones who escaped.

Description: River is an average sized canine, standing nearly 5'2 tall. Her appearance is much like a Malamute, markings and all. River has the look of a classic Malamute, with a slightly more feral appearance, but she is snow white with the normal black Malamute markings. Her eyes are a piercing magenta, and under her eyes are magenta wave markings, and her coat is streaked with magenta markings that seem to glow.
Persona: River is submissive and timid, almost always appearing afraid. She is soft spoken, and will let everyone else do the debating. She is really what you would call a canine genius, though she is too timid to let everyone know that.

Description: A silver wolf with grey and white paws. She has ice blue eyes and the left eye has a blue circle around it. Silver is about 5ft high. She has a more wolfish appearance then dog. Her claws are long and sharp for hunting. Her tail is long and fluffy. You don't want to get hit with it, it has enough force to knock a deer down.
Persona: Silver is quiet and reserved. She only talks when she has something valuable to say. Silver does not think much of humans, they are a wast of time worrying about, she thinks. Silver spends most of her time alone walking through the wilderness and thinking. Her father was killed by an accident with humans. Silvers mother still treats her like a pup, though it annoys her very much. If you manage to make a friend with Silver she'll be very loyal to you and never let you down, even if you do not have that many conversations.

Description: Phantom is small and dog like. He is a little less then 4ft. Phantom resembles a golden retriever, with his fluffy coat and plumy tail. His ears flop over in a cute way. His coat is a pitch black color dotted with with an occasional dark blue spot. Even at less then 4ft he has a strong build. Phantom is also fast and agile. His eyes are a deep brown that resemble a lot of his emotions.
Persona: Phantom is sweet, but brave and determined to become pack leader after Eska. Everyone loves him even reserved Silver. Phantom was glad to be out of puphood and into the pack. He enjoys every bit of hanging with friends and annoying the elders. He lives a carefree life and not thinking much about humans, even though they would try to capture because of his smaller size and more dog-like appearance.

Description: Enora has thick rust-colored wiry fur and front paws that look like they've been dipped in magenta paint. Her tail changes from rust to a brilliant white about halfway through. Her ears look more like a dog's but her body shape and build overall is very similar to a wolf's. Her eyes are rather unique, with one being bright magenta and the other deep blue.
Persona: Enora is strong-willed and will do whatever it takes to protect her pack, even though it's not her job. She is generally friendly and wise, but when you get on her other side, she gets snippy and fierce. She lets her good knowledge turn into something dislikable when this happens occasionally.
Crush: None yet.
Mate: Mm, none yet.
Extra: She's played almost all positions in the pack before, but she's found she's best at hunting.

Description: An all-white dog resembling a german shepherd more than anything else. His left eye is a bright, clear blue, and his right eye is a light grassy green. His ear on the side of the blue eye is a greener cyan, the other ear a more blue one. His paws alternate greenish cyan and bluish cyan, the tip of his tail is split half green-cyan and half blue-cyan. His nose is splotchy black-and-pink with some brown mixed in. He has long fur on his belly. His paws are rather huge and his tail is bushy and sort of short. The very tip of his muzzle is the same blue as his eye. (VERY slight coloration here.) (The blue and green are just touches of the colors, not just a bright green leg - just the paws, maybe until the dewclaw max, and very tip of the tail.)
Persona: Friendly but extremely shy. Brilliant but never really shows it, and sucks at defending himself in most cases. Sadly, he's easily manipulated. Doesn't ever share his past unless it's with someone he trusts deeply, and he only really trusts Eska, Kaya, and Tessie....
Crush: Tessieeeee <333 (HUGE crush here, absolutely HUGE)
Mate: He hopes Tessie, but it probably won't turn out like that.
Extra: His past will be revealed more in the RP, but his parents were both killed in an unintentional attack from Eska's pack. He was terrified of the pack but was accepted in and he was mad. But now he likes it. Tessie's here, right.

[Starting now! ]

The white pelt of the alpha shone against the rising sun, his sturdy limbs supporting the body of a giant. Vibrant cyan and electric green flecks of fur glistened like glittering paint throughout his snowy coat, a set of bold, intelligent eyes, one of cyan and one of crimson, searching the grounds of what used to be the busiest human civilization in what used to be called North America. All the continents were now closing in on each other, every continent now connected through a series of land bridges. New York City, its structures in shambles, all crumbled to bits, vegetation had taken over thousands of years before. Bits of ancient metal structures and crumbled concrete were still being broken apart by millennia of weathering down. The river that once allowed the trade of goods throughout the seas was now vital for the survival of animals abound. The scarce human tribes were growing more and more vast, and were becoming more complex as they developed spears for hunting and fighting the "King of the Woods"; otherwise known as the dogs.

The humans had a way of trying to re-domesticate the canine, and it involved harnesses for sledding. Winters in the region were now much colder, and once the ground froze over and snow began to fall, sleds were vital in the nine months of winter out of the year. The alpha of this particular pack had been subjected to that training, and still bore the primitive leather works of a sledding harness strapped to his body. It was nearing the third and final month of summer, and soon the humans would begin their pup raids on smaller packs, a method of domesticating the dog by raising canine young to be loyal to them.

Luckily, there were no pups in the pack young enough to be taken by the humans. However, there were some on the way soon. Eska's eyes looked over the pack from his perch on the crumbled wall of what was a concrete building about ten thousand years ago. Every once in a while, the tribal markings under his red eye would begin to glow, a behavior that those particular markings had begun just recently. He'd been cursed by ancient human spells nearly a year ago when he'd been captured by humans, though the rumor was that the curse only made a canine stronger and more enduring, though another rumor was that it was slowly killing him.

Enora sat on a soft, spongy pile of pine needles. She stared straight ahead. Her mind was buzzing with the thought that some humans might take the pups that were to come. A whole generation of warriors and alphas to be taken and die without their pack, to live a soft life with the humans....The simple thought of the pups and humans together hurt her and made her feel insulted. The nerve of those things! They made her sick. She blinked and tried to bring her minds to other things but couldn't figure out how.

Amaya was watching Koda play with something. He bit into it and then started to run in a circle. Amaya watched her little brother and then finally he stopped playing and came over to her. He smiled a wolfish grin at her and then nudged her with his nose. "Amaya will you play with me? It's not fun to play by yourself." Koda said and he shifted his weight between his paws. Amaya looked at Koda. "Koda not now I know Eska is probably going to have something for me to do soon and maybe possibly even you." She said calmly. Koda nodded his head and then sat down. He couldn't stay still though and his eyes wondered other places.

Eclipse surveyed the area. He saw Eska and slowly started to walk over to him. Eclipse saw one of the female pack members with him. Eclipse made it to Eska and then sat down in front of him. "What are our plans for today?" Eclipse asked in his deep voice.

Emi smiled "Im good!" Her attention darted to another leaf that she saw out of the corner of her eye. Turning back to Enora she jumped around a bit and crouched down. "Do you want to play?" She said excidetly, her tail swishing from side to side and her head off to the side a little bit. "Its no fun playing by myself."

Kaya's eyes lit up at the idea of going on patrol. She held herself and smiled. "Yes, Uhm, Eska. It would be an honour." She wagged her tail and lay down by herself. She couldn't recall a time when she had been given a chance to do something other than look after the cubs. Her tail wagged more and she stopped it. She was hoping no-one saw that. She would look like such a pup. She watched as the pther wolves grouped in two's and threes. She knew she was one member of the pack that didn't hang around with others, becasue she felt as if she was intruding. She lay her head on her paws as the breeze fluffed her fur. She suddenly remembered her scar and leapt up to flatten out her fur. She didn't want everyone to see it, even if they did know. She lay on her side, facing the breeze. It made her eyes water, but she didn't mind. She wouldn't grumble a complaint about anyone or anything.
She thought of what Eska had said. He had said:"...just call me Eska. I am no fan of formality as you all should know." She thought about this, tossing it around in her mind. He acted as a leader, and looked like a leader, and lead like a leader should, yet he didn't put himself as standing above them too much. She turned her head as the winds stopped and looked at him.

Enora temporarily broke her attention from Emi and put it on Eska. "Sorry, Emi, I have to go hunt. You stay here, okay?" She stood, flicked Emi's tail affectionately with her own, and walked over to Eska. "Yes, Eska. I'll gather the hunters." She continued to search out all the other hunters and found Amaya first. "Amaya, it will be time for the morning hunt soon. Please come hunt with me." Before she left to find the others, she continued, "Oh, and I'm sorry, but could you help me find the other hunters, possibly? I can't see them anywhere." Her gaze wandered around the camp and she walked slowly away after giving Amaya a polite nod.
