| In the proces of makeing A QVSOO, you have to do alot of test-breeding of the SO's to see if they carry all four required genes... And in order for them to get to a breedable age they have to be named and raised to adulthood, does that make the line unqualified for LL status? Even if you determine wich of the SO's are failures and release them?
I ask only because I'm considering using my Black DC reindeer starters for a QV project... but I would prefer them to be LL. And sence I'm new to the breeding world, not sure if released offspring count towards a Limited line limit. |

| Limited Lined just means that you've made a personal choice to limited the ponies in some way. It originally comes from PILL, which, by their rules, completely qualifies. As you can only have 11 publicly sold offspring. Since you generally keep the SOs for testing for yourself, they aren't counted in that definition.
PILL itself also isn't an active club, and while some people do still follow their rules strictly, LL is a much more personally catered term. About 50% or more of PI users also only refer to how many offspring their pairs will have. They don't even give consideration to future offspring. And considering all the failed SOs would be released without producing any other offspring, I don't think you would have a problem. |
